Smallwood Manor Preparatory School is a co-educational 4-11 independent day school with a busy, all-year-round nursery. A Woodard school, Smallwood began its life at Denstone College, our senior school, in 1902. In the 1930s the preparatory school moved to our present site at Smallwood Manor. Set in beautiful landscaped gardens, surrounded by gently rolling hills and banks of woodlands, Smallwood Manor is a truly inspirational place for little people to learn and grow. The Headmaster is a member of the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools, which is the national organisation for the country’s leading Preparatory Schools.
